How to Apply for New Sui Gas Connection with SNGPL (Step by Step)
SNGPL now takes applications online only. You can use the official website or the SNGPL mobile app. Here is the full procedure.
Step 1: Submit the Online Application
Open the official SNGPL new connection page and start the form. Choose the domestic RLNG connection option, and pick either the normal or the fast track category. Fill in your name, CNIC, mobile number, and full address. Enter your neighbor's gas bill reference number so the system can confirm your location. Then upload your CNIC and property documents.
After you submit, you get a tracking or reference number. Save it. You will use it to check your application status later.
Step 2: House Line Survey
A survey team from SNGPL visits your address. Their job is to confirm that your property falls inside the existing gas pipeline network and that a connection is possible. If there is no nearby line, the application may be marked as not feasible.
Step 3: Demand Notice
If the survey is cleared, the company issues a demand notice. This is the official paper that tells you exactly how much to pay. It includes the security deposit and service line charges. The amount on this demand notice is the real figure you should trust, not any rough estimate.
Step 4: Pay the Fee
Pay the demand notice at an authorized bank before the deadline printed on it. If you miss the deadline, your file can drop down the waiting list. Keep the bank receipt safe, because the company can ask for it later. You may also sign the RLNG supply agreement at this stage.
Step 5: House Line and Meter Installation
After payment is confirmed, the distribution team lays the service line pipe to your house and installs the gas meter. This is the new gas meter installation step, and it is done by company staff, not by any outside agent.
Step 6: Gas Supply and First Bill
Once the meter is fitted, the gas supply is switched on. Your meter reading is recorded and billing starts under the RLNG tariff. Your first bill is usually issued within about 45 days of the connection going live. If it does not arrive, contact your area regional office.
